About Advanced Microwave

Advanced Microwave, Incorporated was established in 1995 with the objective of manufacturing mixers and amplifiers for the commercial market. In 1998, in order to fulfill ever increasing requests for military grade products, Advanced Microwave expanded its products to include military electronic components and subsystems. In 1999, Advanced Microwave further increase its selections of amplifiers, mixers, and converter by introducing new products to the marketplace.

Advanced Microwave’s facilities are located in Milpitas, CA, USA, in the heart of Silicon Valley – making it easier and faster to obtain raw material, and to monitor the quality of the parts. The facilities are over 5,000  square feet with a large manufacturing facility, built exclusively for Advanced Microwave, Inc.

Quality Assurance

In 1997, Advanced Microwave, Inc. generated a quality manual based on ISO9001 with the emphasis on keeping records of the process flow from the time of receiving the raw material to the time the part is shipped. Manufacturing process flow and screening is based on MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-202, and MIL-STD-810 as needed per customer requirement.

Capabilities

In addition to our component product diversification capability, the availability of building blocks makes it possible to build complex microwave subsystems and multi-function products in an extremely small package, but of exceptionally high performance, doing away with the “component coaxial” subsystem configuration.

Using an array of Advanced Microwave building blocks, we are capable of designing for specific requirements by combining microstrip and thin-film technology. They are as follows:

Amplifier, Coupler, Detector, DC to DC Converter, Detector Log Amplifier, Filter, Mixer, Power Divider.

The integrated assembly may cover the frequency range of DC to 40 GHz. Advanced Microwave has perfected a manufacturing process that combines soft board (duroid) and alumina substrate (ceramic) into one package, achieving the most rugged and durable product to withstand the most severe environmental requirements.

  • Advanced Microwave, Inc. is ITAR Registered.
  • Advanced Microwave, Inc. is RoHS Compliant.
  • Advanced Microwave, Inc. is ISO-9001 Registered.
